Edwin paul scherr minnesota9/10/2023 ![]() ![]() John was an active member in AA and for 30 years shared his life and learned from a critical support network who became a second family to him over the years. Other hobbies included building and remodeling which John learned with his father Harry and father-in-law Louis Millette. John was a volunteer fireman for the city of Roseville from 1968-1988 and he taught drivers education on and off throughout retirement - the last school was CDH in 2020. From 1965-1968 he taught at Redwing State Reformatory, and from 1968-1997 he taught Math at 6 Minneapolis Public Schools and retired from South High School in 1997. John grew up in Prior Lake and went to school at Mankato State University. He was also survived by his brother Donald Farrell and many nieces and nephews. Survived by daughters Suzanne (Tim Oppenheim) and Annette (Michael Sallman), Granddaughters Marie (Jared Jerzak), Emma, and Sarah. 61įarrell, John Preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart Diana June Millette Farrell, parents Harry and Louise Farrell, sister Rosemary LaBounta, brother Cecil Farrell, sister Rita Jean Kerber, sister Bernice Unze. Memorials in John's honor are preferred to organizations of the donor's choice that support education and social good, in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be at Billman Hunt Funeral Chapel, 2701 Central Ave NE Minneapolis, from 5 to 7 on Sunday, August 13. ![]() John grew up in NE Minneapolis, and was a chemistry and physics teacher at Southwest High School. Survived by his wife MauNghi, son Eric, and daughter Anna, sister Annie, and niece Kate, and other loving friends and family members. ![]() Preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Majken, and sister-in-law Donna Manley. Pearson, John Eric of New Brighton, MN passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 62. She is survived by many cousins and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harbey and Lillian Hanson, and her husband Bruce McClellan. After retiring together they moved to a lovely home on Rainy Lake in International Falls. Both Bruce and Donna taught for the Minneapolis school district for 30 years. Donna married Bruce McClellan in August, 1966. Planning to become an elementary school teacher, she attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1966. She was reared in Minneapolis and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1962. ![]() Donna was born in Minneapolis on June 3rd, 1944, the only child of Harbey Hanson and Lillian Anderson Hanson. She is survived by : her children, Ervin Scherr, Katrina Blanchette and Dawn Scherr her granddaughters, Cassidy and Kallie her siblings, Delbert (Diane Otterstetter), Deloris Ullrich, Derold Otterstetter, Barbara (Valentine Houn), Pamela (Richard Waldron), Cynthia Reed, Norma (David Carlson) and Renae (Rick Hyten) and her siblings-in-law, Tom, Sylvia Scherr, Paul Scherr, Mark Scherr, Juanita Rohrich, Christina, Garth Page, Judy and Rex Hoy.McClellan, Donna Marie Hanson died at her home on Rainy Lake on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. her siblings, Loretta Becker, Roy, Melvin and Allen Otterstetter her siblings-in-law, Roland Becker, Larry Ullrich, Robert Reed and Gerry Malley Otterstetter her nephews, David Otterstetter and Derold Reed and her former husband Kenneth Ralph Scherr.
